Community Guidelines

Solo Circle exists to make solo travel feel more connected without compromising independence or safety. Treat every person as having equal control over their time, body, information and travel decisions.

Consent must be informed, specific, freely given and reversible. Silence, previous agreement or participation in a Circle is not consent.

• Choose public, staffed places for first meetings.
• Share plans with someone you trust and arrange independent transport.
• Confirm the place, time, activity, costs and expected end time.
• Respect late cancellations and anyone’s decision to leave.
• Contact local emergency services when danger is immediate.

Never pressure someone to drink, use substances, travel, share accommodation, spend money, provide contact details, disclose a live location or participate in romantic or sexual activity.

Harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, hate speech and discrimination based on identity or protected characteristics are prohibited.

Use your own identity and accurate age, photos, travel context and business information. Do not impersonate others, manipulate verification, create deceptive accounts or misrepresent commercial relationships.

Do not solicit investments, run scams, recruit for exploitative work, request money under false pretenses or use emotional pressure for financial gain.

Do not publish another person’s phone number, accommodation, passport, financial details, private messages, images or location without permission. Ask before taking or sharing photos and recordings.

Information visible in a Circle remains subject to these rules. Circle membership does not authorize copying, scraping or redistributing member data.

Do not post illegal activity, graphic violence, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware, spam or instructions intended to facilitate serious harm.

Keep Circle and meetup posts relevant. Clearly disclose business promotions. Do not flood conversations, manipulate engagement or repeatedly contact someone who has not responded.

Hosts should set clear expectations, apply rules consistently, protect member privacy and escalate serious concerns. Host status does not grant authority over personal decisions.

Businesses must distinguish official information from member conversation, honor advertised terms and avoid pressuring travelers to purchase, review or promote services.

Block unwanted contact immediately. Report conduct that threatens safety or violates these Guidelines, and include accurate context. Do not submit malicious or retaliatory reports.

For serious incidents, preserve relevant messages and details. Solo Circle reports are reviewed by authorized personnel but are not a substitute for emergency or law-enforcement services.

Responses may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, Circle removal, verification withdrawal, suspension or account termination. Severity, context, evidence, prior conduct and risk of harm inform decisions.

We may act without advance notice when needed to protect users or preserve an investigation. Attempts to evade enforcement may lead to further restrictions.
