Solo Circle — Go solo, belong anywhereJoin waitlist

WHY WE EXIST

Solo freedom.
Shared moments.

Solo Circle is a social travel app for adults who want the freedom of travelling independently and a thoughtful way to find community when it matters.

THE IDEA

Travel apps are good at telling you where to go. Solo Circle is being built to help you understand who is around—without turning travel into another popularity contest.

THE APP

What Solo Circle actually does

It creates temporary, place-based social context around a trip: relevant people, smaller communities, clearer plans and practical controls.

01

Set your destination

Choose where you are now or where you are heading. Solo Circle uses destination context and approximate presence—not a public map of exact stays.

02

Enter a smaller Circle

Join an Area Circle, an official venue Circle or an eligible custom Circle with a visible purpose and membership context.

03

Find relevant people

Use timing, interests, travel pace and shared community context to decide which conversations feel useful.

04

Make a real plan

Turn chat into a clear public meetup with an activity, time, capacity and meeting point.

DESTINATION CIRCLES

Not a global feed.
A community for this place, right now.

Every Circle has a reason to exist. Area Circles connect people around a destination. Business Circles give hostels and cafés an official community space. Selected members can create smaller Circles around a clear shared plan.

  • Membership tied to a real destination or venue
  • Approximate location instead of exact accommodation
  • Public plans with time, place and capacity
  • Block, report, leave and check-in controls

PRODUCT PRINCIPLES

How we decide what belongs in the app

The product is early, but these principles are intended to remain stable as features and destinations expand.

01

Choice over pressure

Community should be available when it helps and easy to leave when it does not.

02

Context over popularity

A current destination and a shared plan matter more than follower counts.

03

Privacy over precision

Travellers need relevance without broadcasting accommodation or raw coordinates.

04

Tools over guarantees

Profiles, reporting and check-ins support judgment; they cannot promise that a person or place is safe.

AN HONEST BOUNDARY

Safety is a system of choices—not a badge.

Solo Circle can provide context, controls and practical prompts. It cannot verify character, predict conduct or make an offline meeting risk-free. Travellers should still meet publicly, keep independent transport, share plans and contact emergency services when necessary.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

Opening carefully, destination by destination.

Solo Circle is currently invite-led while community operations, safety systems and destination coverage mature. Early members help the team learn which local context and controls are genuinely useful.

The long-term goal is simple: make arriving alone feel less socially uncertain, while protecting the independence that makes solo travel valuable.
